The "Principals Challenge"

 The "Principal's Challenge", a discipline that was initiated by none other than the   Principal, Rev. Canon Paul Jeffries in the year 2007, is intended to develop individual body fitness. There is no doubt whatsoever that the event is a source of fun, happiness and hilarity to both students and staff members.

The "Principal's Challenge" is held at least twice a year. It started with a 5.5 km race entitled "Marathon" which saw the Principal compete with each class i.e.. S.1 - S.6 as well as with the Staff members. You could hardly believe that the Principal who is knocking the old ages could beat young energetic teachers and students as they were witnessed flagging behind him. This was real fun!

The winning class (S.5) was entitled to a bull roasting festivity as well as a trophy while the staff members were also rewarded for their participation and support.

The Principal further made the event ecstatic when in third term he a bit toughened the race by putting it to 11.5 km. The distance seemed long but it with constant practice, the final day attracted 17 staff members, and a good number of students. to everyone's amazement all staff members including 3 ladies (Phionah, Shallon, and Jane) accomplished the race.

The intent of having this race was to pick out the best participants to compete in the 10 km marathon race scheduled  23rd-11-08 in Kampala which normally attracts a large number of participants. This year 10,000 people are expected. Last year the Principal made it and came out 857th position out of more than 6000. Well done!

In light of this, the following students were selected to represent the school owing to their efforts: Nakatanza Brian, Nuwagira Kenneth, Twinamatsiko Duncan, Twinamatsiko Michael,  etc. As for staff memebers they include Tr. Matedra, Tr. Richard, Tr. Robert, the School Chaplain, Tr. Duncans, Mr Byamani (layreader). Thanks for their energetic and fabulous performance.

Let us pray for their effective participation and representation. A great deal of thanks to our dear Principal for the inception of this event and the financial support of it.
